Grand View Health is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Mammography Technologist Training to join our program. The Mammography Technologist Training performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. Competency to perform multiple types of Imaging including X-Ray, Mammography and Dexa, involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients, and outpatients is ideal. The Mammography Technologist Training will be working with all levels from staff to physicians and triaging quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Selects proper technical factors according to established protocol and study requested in order to produce quality images.
- Positions the patient according to established protocol in order to provide optimum diagnostic information.
- Assists radiologists and staff physicians as requested in order to promote continuity of care.
- Performs quality control on all completed studies prior to radiologist interpretation in order to assure optimum information and verifies all studies in PACS.
- Ensures equipment viability through performing established warm-up procedure and equipment quality control.
- Calibrates equipment and performs required quality control procedures on a daily basis in order to assure equipment viability.
- Communicates procedural instructions to all patients prior to examination in order to assure patient comprehension.
- Reviews the daily patient schedule in order to maximize efficiency and minimize patient waiting time.
- Practices proper infection control.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, start time varies between 7:00 am - 9:00 am, 8 hour shifts, Saturday Rotation 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. No holidays and no call rotation required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved AMA accredited Radiologic Technologist program, required.
Licenses and Certifications: ARRT Certified, Mammography upon hire, required; ARRT Certified, Radiologic Tech upon hire, required.
