This entry-level position serves customers at The Cavern, one of the campus' dining hall options with a fast food feel. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to serve menu items in a safe and efficient manner to students, faculty, and staff. This is an entry level position with training that will offer the successful applicant the chance to learn and grow in a professional setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take orders accurately and process payments in a timely manner.
- Package food items safely and properly.
- Keep the dining area and kitchen clean and organized.
- Restock items as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Cash handling experience.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification.
- Proficiency in a foreign language.
- Ability to multi-task with ease.
- Relevant prior experience in the food service industry.
This full-time, 9 month position follows the academic calendar. Must be able to work every other weekend. Uniforms and non-slip safety shoe allowance provided, along with a free meal on scheduled work days.
