About the team & Opportunity:
innovaTel is looking for a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in the state of Kansas who is passionate about our mission of delivering speed to quality mental health care for all. This is a fully remote telehealth position for individuals with experience working with patients across the lifespan in an Outpatient Community Mental Health Center Setting.

Accountabilities:
- Provide effective management of psychiatric care including initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management reviews in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
- Develop a strong rapport with a diverse set of patients (socioeconomic status, age, sexual orientation, etc.) exclusively through the telehealth modality.
- Uphold clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care.
- Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the on-site clinical team, including inter-disciplinary consultation with therapists, case managers, etc.
- Document concurrently all clinical findings and services provided in the electronic medical record as required by compliance standards.
- Be present and available on-screen for the duration of the contracted hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active nurse practitioner with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP).
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Kansas, or a state offering reciprocal licensure for the state of Kansas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion.
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to needs of clinic partners (e.g., same-day appointments, patients in crisis, technology outages, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in caring for patients with Serious Mental Illness.
- Experienced in caring for patients with co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Previous telemedicine experience and skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients.
