RN- ER/PRN
We are inviting a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. In this position, you will be instrumental in providing the highest quality of care in a demanding and fast-paced environment. As a PRN, or as-needed, staff member, your role involves flexible working hours that may vary based on the needs of the department, offering you the opportunity to balance professional and personal commitments effectively. This role is critical in administering immediate care and making quick, accurate decisions that could potentially save lives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care using the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document all findings and interventions meticulously.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and educational materials for patients and their families.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality and continuity of patient care.
- Supervise and guide assigned support staff in delivering care at prescribed standards.
- Stay prepared to respond to emergencies and urgent problems efficiently and calmly.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active Registered Nursing License in Alabama.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of joining.
- Achieve Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days.
- Willingness to adhere to flexible scheduling as required by the hospital's operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of prior experience in an Emergency Department or a critical care setting.
