Responsibilities
- Participates in the development of other staff members and identifies learning strengths and needs.
- Identifies and designs programs that facilitate organizational development.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities at the level of the learner, the department, and the institution.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements activities to achieve educational objectives.
- Conducts, reviews, and evaluates department’s educational needs assessments and selects appropriate instructional strategies for educational programs.
- Designs, develops, and organizes training manuals, references, multi-media instructional aids, and other educational materials.
- Serves as a clinical educational resource, role model, and facilitator for staff, coordinating activities for maintaining educational materials.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees, interacting professionally and courteously.
- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of compliance with corrective/improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of teaching experience.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in Nursing.
- RN licensed in New York.
- Masters degree.
