RN, Invasive Sch Res Coord - (2401302)
Coordinates patient procedures for cardiac cath, interventional and EP testing, coordinates chart prep for procedures working with NEHI Cardiologists to complete orders required for procedures. Ensures effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Directs, implements, and actively participates in diverse clinical research trials in support of the clinical research endeavors of the New England Heart Institute. Collects cardiovascular clinical data, analyzes and validates clinical research outcomes, and reports these findings within established guidelines to appropriate regulatory boards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to patients' age, physical ability, and intellectual development. Must demonstrate proficiency in assessing treatment and responses and adapting care to meet the needs of the patient population served; adult and geriatric.
- Physical requirements include the ability to bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist; bend legs at the knee to come to rest on knee or knees; bend the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine; extend hands and arms in any direction; stand for sustained periods of time; move about on foot to accomplish tasks; use upper extremities to exert force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward; use upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion; raise objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally from position to position; pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work with fingers and palm; perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Essential functions include activities in which the incumbent must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to patients, physicians, families, and other employees accurately, loudly, or quietly.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
- Three (3) years of medical-surgical and one (1) year of clinical experience in a critical care/telemetry unit environment, including cardiac diagnostic interventional patient mix.
- Data collection, validation, and research experience preferred.
- Ability to utilize and support an integrated EMR.
- Currently licensed in the State of New Hampshire as a Registered Nurse.
