LPN - $2,500 Sign-on Bonus
This position is part of the Baylor program. Associates are paid full-time for 36 hours but will be scheduled for 24 hours each weekend.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate total nursing care for residents. This role involves participating in resident and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in a clinical setting, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, policies, procedures, ethical statements, and resident rights, as outlined in the employee handbook.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current Ohio nursing license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Maximum exposure to universal precautions.
- Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the residents served.
- Basic knowledge of the principles related to the aging adult and problems associated with aging.
- Ability to assess data reflective of resident status and interpret the information needed to identify each resident's needs.
- Provide care as directed by policy and procedure within the scope of an LPN/RN license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires a full range of body motion, including intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting, and standing. The individual will be required to lift 50 pounds or more and lift work above the shoulders. Corrected vision and hearing in the normal range are necessary. Excellent verbal communication skills are required to perform daily tasks.
This position is classified at risk for possible occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.).
