About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead and unlock the full potential of our client's luxury care home in Holt, Norfolk. This brand-new, high-end property offers an exceptional living experience for its residents, and as the Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring outstanding care and service.
Regrettably, due to personal circumstances, our current appointed manager is unable to continue in their position. As a result, we are actively seeking a replacement who is a passionate and dedicated Home Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of this prestigious new build. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest quality of care, meeting financial targets, and maintaining full occupancy.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the care home team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
- Recruit, train, and retain a skilled team committed to delivering person-centred care.
- Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards, and aim for an "Outstanding" rating.
- Manage the home’s budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to maintain full occupancy.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Oversee administrative tasks, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Monitor and evaluate performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Manage risks effectively to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience managing a nursing home.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC standards with a record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" ratings.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams, external professionals, families, and visitors.
- Strong marketing and business skills, particularly in the private care sector.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ability to contribute to the growth and development of the care service.
Education and Qualifications
- Desirable: NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (not essential).
