Job Description:
The Director of Cath Lab plans, directs and manages the Cardiac Cath Lab and staff to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis. Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of department responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital, department, and safe policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to and acting as liaison with patients and their representatives, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management, and for the efficient operation of the department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Qualifications:
Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing obtained from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in acute care nursing.
- One year of management experience as a full-time or relief charge nurse, clinical manager, or Nursing Administrative Supervisor.
