About the Job
The Research Nurse position will primarily work in our Gynecology Oncology division helping implement and lead our interventional trials. This individual will work with our providers on identifying patients, consenting patients to trials and performing tasks related to the studies.
Responsibilities:
- 10% Collaborates with PI, providers and study team to recruit, screen and enroll study participants.
- 50% Executes study-required procedures in collaboration with clinical staff.
- 10% Educates patients and clinical staff throughout the duration of the study regarding the treatment plan, anticipated side effects, and monitoring guidelines/follow-up.
- 10% Participates in visits with sponsors, monitors and other key collaborators, including site initiation visits, interim monitoring visits and closeout visits.
- 10% Coordinates with internal departments, clinical staff, and other departments across campus to deliver research drugs, collect biospecimens, and execute the study visits according to protocol.
- 10% Works as a member of the study team with positive and timely written and verbal communication, including sharing information up, down, and laterally.
Qualifications
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Nursing or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least four years. Requires current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical Research or Oncology Experience.
