Description of Work Unit
Colorado State University is a land-grant institution encompassing 57 academic departments in 8 colleges, housing more than 75 majors. The Front Range has developed into a high-technology hub with companies such as Agilent, HP, IBM, Intel, and others located in or near Fort Collins.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) has 24 faculty members, 450 undergraduates, and 200 graduate students with numerous research programs. Annual research expenditures are approximately $10M, and the department is ranked 23rd in the country based on citations to faculty research.
Position Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a qualified applicant as a lab technician for the Bliss Lab (http://bliss.colostate.edu) who is proficient in circuit design and printed circuit board design of complex bioelectronic systems using modern design tools.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with other students and faculty in the Bliss lab and with other collaborating partners.
The position will run from Sept. 23, 2024 until May 31, 2025. The successful candidate is expected to devote 10 hours per week towards these activities.
Position Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent design and debugging skills in the past beyond just coursework.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Cadence and Autocad design tools.

- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Proficient in Cadence and Autocad design tools.
