Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Prior IV Therapy Team experience with demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in IV Therapy techniques and procedures. PICC placement competency as described previously.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for provider, CPR and AED program.
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of experience in nursing with a minimum of one (1) year in IV Therapy.
- B.S. degree in Nursing.
- Previous management/charge nurse experience.
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty (CRNI or VA-BC) required within 1 year of date in job.
- Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) through the Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation.
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) through the Vascular Access Certification Corporation.
Work Hours:
7:00am-3:30pm
