We are looking for an experienced Technician to work in our Induction Heating Laboratory.
Work with an amazing team in our Induction Process Engineering Center, developing testing procedures for industrial processes using Induction magnetic technology. An ideal candidate must be good with their hands, be electrically and mechanically inclined, have experience setting up and running experiments, capturing data, and documenting results.
We will train and guide you in how to set up and produce successful results.
This is a tremendous opportunity for one interested in Metals Processing Technology.
Requirements:
- Ability to stay on task while unsupervised.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills – typing, Excel, Word.
- Strong reasoning skills.
- Quick to learn.
- Diligent.
- Curious to learn new applications of heat treating and induction heating principles.
- Willingness to ask questions, experiment, and learn from mistakes.
Skills that are a plus:- Experience creating process documentation.
- Familiarity with metallurgy and metallurgical lab equipment.
- Experience with Induction Heat Treating, brazing, or soldering.
- Knowledge of basic induction coil design and manufacture.
- Knowledge of metallurgical testing – hardness, case depth, etc.
- Experience with CAD and Solidworks drawings.
- Experience with machining and manufacturing.
- Strong initiative.
Qualifications:Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience in a lab or testing environment.
