About our Medical Assistant position
The Medical Assistant - Certified provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
This is a union position, and the pay range is from $21.36 to $32.04, placement in the range is dependent on experience. A generous benefit package is also offered.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) non-exempt, union position at our Health center.
What you will be doing!
- Performing back-office responsibilities as required by the health center; rooms patients; stocks rooms; phlebotomy, injections, labs, patient education; assists NPs, RNs, and MDs.
- Provides non-judgmental, client-centered care, and provides accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
- Assists with optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule.
- Establishes and prepares documents for patient records and patient services.
- Provides patients and co-workers with excellent customer service in all interactions and tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification
- One or two years of experience in an office or medical setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications; experience with electronic health records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with reproductive healthcare in a clinical office or hospital setting with knowledge of EHR
- Spanish-speaking
*Bi-lingual employees may be eligible for an hourly premium*
Salary Range:
PPGNHAIK's compensation Philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range for this position is $21.36 to $32.04 hourly
