POSITION SUMMARY:
The FBR Clinical Supervisor will be trained in and provide leadership of the Family Based Recovery (FBR) model. The supervisor directs and supervises professional and administrative activities of the clinicians and Family Support Specialists according to the model. This role is responsible for collecting and maintaining parent/caregiver and program information to meet both the model’s and DCF’s reporting and evaluation requirements. The supervisor is responsible for managing referrals, intakes, case assignments, and maintaining staff schedules. The supervisor will provide emergency or direct service coverage for the clinicians as needed. In addition, the supervisor will provide direct clinical care to the parents/caregivers at the weekly outpatient groups (Social Club).
Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff members, including orientation, evaluation, and support/monitoring of staff development.
- Works as a team member with other clinical and administrative staff to respond to client and programmatic needs, including the implementation of agency policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Partners with supervisor to identify and develop plans for professional growth.
- With supervisor’s approval, partners with other programs or clinical staff to identify and develop approaches to address clients’ unmet needs or service gaps.
- Acquiring and maintaining the needed skills in evidenced-based models the agency/program ascribes to.
- Staff Training: All FBR staff will receive model specific training. Additionally, Clinical Supervisors will facilitate weekly case consultation with FBRMDO, and quarterly booster training and meetings with FBRMDO.
- Evening and occasional weekends are required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive to off-campus sites for home visits and collaborative meetings and have access to reliable transportation.
- Licensed master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or other counseling degree.
- Three years of experience in delivery of clinical and/or substance use services to children and families.
PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF THE PROGRAM:
The Family Based Recovery (FBR) is an intensive, in-home clinical treatment program for families with infants or young children (birth to 72 months) who are at risk for maltreatment, adverse development outcomes, and removal from their home due to parental substance use. The overarching goal of the intervention is to promote stability, safety, and permanence for these families. Treatment and support services are provided in a family-focused, strength-based, trauma-based, culturally competent, and responsive to each child's individual needs. The clinical team provides intensive clinical psychotherapy and substance use treatment for the parent(s) and attachment-based parent-child therapy to the parent-child dyad.
