Description

Utilizes supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Charting reflects patient problems identified in the plan of care and is timely and accurate.
Assists the director with managerial duties, staff education, and compliance.
Technical Expertise
Provides care to assigned patients, including activities of daily living, therapies, and interventions.
Uses patient safety techniques in the delivery of medications.
Accurately calculates and administers all medication as prescribed, including drips in mg/min, mcg/kg/min, mcg/cc, and unit/hr as appropriate; accurately counts narcotics, signs for usage and waste appropriately.
Safely performs IV therapy.
Monitors and reports in a timely manner any adverse drug reactions.
Clinical competencies reviewed and completed.
Admits, discharges, and assists in establishing a plan of care using the nursing process and a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates the patient’s correct growth and development for all age groups.
Accurately follows policies in patient care, including blood administration, specimen labeling, and patient identification.
