Job Description
The AMI (Allergan Medical Institute) Clinical Specialist is responsible for facial aesthetic in-clinic education to advance the knowledge and skill set of health care providers (HCPs) using AA products.
The AMI Clinical Specialist is responsible for customer engagement, collaborating with the sales team to maintain strong relationships with KOLs and develop key customers.
The AMI Clinical Specialist is also responsible for medical education and marketing support, aiming to deliver high-quality medical education with impact to customers and supporting trainer development while cooperating with the marketing department on new launches and projects.
This role requires strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to work closely with the marketing and sales teams to achieve the AMI mission.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In-Clinic Education (40%):
• Perform both external and internal trainings regarding product differentiations, injection techniques, scientific literature updates, facial assessments, anatomy, and consultation skills.
• Support sales team-initiated local small group training aimed at the development of physicians and/or beauty consultants. - Customer Engagement (25%):
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with KOLs and exchange unbiased scientific information between KOLs and the company.
• Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced, and directed information to key customers in response to unsolicited requests for information.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Medical Affairs teams to develop key customers. - Medical Education Support (20%):
• Manage training events, third-party society congresses, and AA-initiated symposiums/workshops/lectures.
• Communicate with moderators and speakers to deliver correct information and messages to the audience.
• Conduct trainer development programs to meet trainers’ needs for continuous upskilling and new learnings.
• Support the creation of innovative educational materials. - Marketing Support (15%):
• Leverage and consolidate centrally approved scientific and clinical content for promotional purposes.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
Education and Experience:
• Education – M.D. and/or Ph.D.
• Experience in pharmaceutical & device industry, and/or field related to training.
• Strong scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge; clinical trial experience is an asset.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
• Good scientific and clinical skills to present scientific data, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze scientific literature.
• Comfortable discussing scientific data and clinical techniques with senior clinicians and colleagues.
• Knowledge in human anatomy and performing clinical facilitation.
• Performance-driven and strong teamwork ability.
• Fluent in English is an asset.
• Interest in aesthetics.
• Willingness to travel (within the country or overseas).
