This is for Advanced Medical Imaging
The Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies. Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals. Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure. Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
American Heart Association BLS required within 60 days of hire
Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
ARRT CT registry eligible
Preferred
1 year post graduation experience with trauma Radiology
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Client policy, and other registry requirements.
Performs CT exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
Assists the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
Participates in the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.

Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses
Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
