QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- BSN preferred upon hire. Individuals without a BSN degree must obtain within four (4) years of transfer or three (3) years of employment. Proof of enrollment must be presented within 60 days.
Experience:
- Five or more years of nursing experience in the Emergency Department.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- - Knowledge of Nursing Professional Development, adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and measurement of outcomes.
- - Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other health care providers.
- - Demonstrated skill in leadership, teaching, education, communication, group dynamics.
- - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
License/Certification:
- - Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
- - American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the Organizational Development Office are approved by Organizational Development on a case-by-case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two (2) years.
- - ACLS, PALS and TNCC required.
- - CEN preferred.
