Job Description: To perform all duties related to the preparation, distribution, cataloging, and storage of lab specimens for testing. Adhere to departmental specimen identification policies and quality controls. Utilize lab and hospital information systems and provide general administrative support to the laboratory staff in support of laboratory operations, such as filing, record maintenance, responding to client calls, and mail delivery. Serve as a technical resource to others and orient new employees as needed.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in Biological Science or health-related field and one (1) year experience required OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Depending on the unit/department, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
