Position Goal
Assist Physician(s) in the clinic with patient care activities and other staff members in producing high-quality radiographs, entering patient information into the medical management system, and completing administrative duties as required.

Position Responsibilities:

Carries out radiology requisitions and views.
Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed.
Memorizes what views each physician requires on exams.
Assists patients in getting into the positions required to obtain the radiographs needed, with the occasional need to lift the patient.
Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
Stocks necessary supplies.
Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
Assists and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
Ensures equipment is in working order and reports any malfunction to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Provides backup support to Medical Assistants, which includes rooming patients, transcribing, entering tests and procedures, EMR documentation, reviewing initial vital signs, assisting with minor procedures (e.g., suture/staple removal), assisting with DME placement/removal, and ensuring all equipment and exam rooms are sterilized and clean/stocked.

Experience:
Required: One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
Preferred: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of coursework in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
Current ARRT certification.

Special Qualifications:
Required:
American Registry of Radiology Technology required.
Florida state license required.
Must maintain BLS.
Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
