Under the direction of the Radiologist, supervision of the Manager and guidance of the Department Director, performs all general radiographic, CT and special procedures as assigned using good judgment and independent actions. Organizes transporters and assists with evening technologists’ schedules. Responsible for overseeing evening shift technologists, transporters and consultation staff. Organizes work breaks and lunch periods for all evening radiology personnel. Responsible for calling in proper personnel when necessary.
Contacts service company when critical equipment needs repair. Good communication skills and ability to effectively service, patients, physicians and staff are required. Extended duty and on-call time may be required as needed. Provide appropriate care prior to, during and after diagnostic imaging and invasive procedures, on the full spectrum of age groups within the hospital. Position involves 90% of direct patient care and 10% department operational activities. Participation in departmental QC and QA is required. Must maintain knowledge of downtime procedures and work with other staff members/departments for proper delivery of care during these events. Works with other technologists/department staff to elevate knowledge and proper application of current policies and procedures.

Required Experience
Required:
- Current California CRT Certification and Fluoroscopy
- Current Registry Certification from AART
- BLS from American Heart Association
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory/Lead experience in Radiology.
- 5 Years’ imaging experience in an acute care hospital
- Experience with care for all age groups (Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult, Geriatrics) in the setting of ER, ICU, CSU, NICU and OR, to include Fluoroscopy, portable and on-call experience
Preferred:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school for Radiology Technology with an AA-Degree or BS-Degree
