The Opportunity - Nursing Coop: Ellison 16 - Oncology/Medical Unit
The start date for this position is Monday December 30, 2024 and the end date is Friday, June 27, 2025. This nursing cooperative with MGH is exclusive to Northeastern University Nursing School Program students.
Why This Role Is Important?
Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Ellison 9 is seeking a full-time PCA, with Day and Night shift availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Only full-time applicants will be considered for this new opportunity.
What are we looking for?
- PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.
- Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.

- Shift differential for evening, nights, and weekends.

Minimum Requirements:
- Current CPR certification.
- Current enrollment in Northeastern University Nursing School Program.
- Completion of the MGH PCA Skills checklist with at least one clinical rotation completed.
- HS Diploma required.
