Job Summary and Qualifications
This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. At the direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Medical Chairman, oversee the technical staff in the designated sections of the Imaging Department. Oversee technical procedures and work flow to ensure safe and effective patient care. Act as a role model and facilitator working in collaboration with all levels of the imaging department’s personnel, as well as the referring physicians and hospital departments. This person shall manage staffing, patient and physician concerns, as well as clinical activities. Assume the responsibility of the Imaging Department in the director’s absence. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by the director. Assistant Director maintains 24 hour accountability.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging. Demonstrates the ability to plan and provide for delivery of Imaging services.
Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Participates in counseling and guidance of personnel. Acts as a mediator between patient care and administration. Ability to assume twenty-four hour responsibility for integration of interpersonal aspects in all patient care. Ability to assume leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery of patient care. Recognized personal responsibility in striving for innovative health care delivery which meets contemporary needs and assumes leadership in negotiating for changes in health care.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- Bachelor degree program preferred
- BLS through AHA or ARC
- 3-5 year supervisory experience in multi-modality setting.
