Job Summary
The University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for a staff psychologist for clinical settings including the Child Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC), Pediatric Collaborative Care Program (PCCP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), School-Based Mental Health Program (SBMH), and the Sacramento County Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (CAPS) clinic. The CBHC is an academic outpatient psychiatry clinic serving the greater Northern California region and a diverse patient population. Our clinical staff consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and trainees including medical students, psychiatry residents/fellows, and clinical psychology interns/postdoctoral fellows. The Pediatric Collaborative Care Program is based in the UC Davis Integrated Behavioral Health Services and the care team is comprised of pediatric primary care providers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and trainees. This care model provides evidence-based short-term therapy within primary care settings. The IOP is designed to support adolescents with mood and anxiety disorders requiring more services than typical outpatient level of care. This program is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and trainees. The School-Based Mental Health Program is a collaborative program within a community school district. The CAPS clinic is a community mental health clinic serving the Sacramento County Medi-Cal population.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of California, or license eligible
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA and/or PCSAS accredited training program and internship.
- At least 2 years' experience working and/or training in an outpatient setting.
- Specific training and experience in child and adolescent psychopathology and/or pediatric psychology
- Knowledge of basic psychological principles and evidence-based practices
- Training in/experience providing evidence-based individual, group, and family-based psychological interventions
- Experience conducting psychological assessments/evaluations with children and adolescents
- Experience working with families from ethnically diverse and underserved populations that struggle with multiple environmental stressors, including family mental health problems and lack of access to resources.
- Experience with documentation in accordance with accepted, professional standards. Administrative ability to develop and implement policy, to oversee professional billing, business obligations and contractual requirements related to patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in collaborating with professionals from multiple systems of care, including mandated reporting agencies.
- Specific training/experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent management training (PMT), exposure and response prevention, and/or family-based interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical training and supervision to residents, medical students, and psychology interns/postdoctoral fellows in group and individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment.
- Advanced communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in Spanish

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs, child psychology doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows, and 90 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists at the UC Davis Medical Center and the Northern California VA Health System.
