Responsibilities
The Transmission Governance Supervisor will be responsible for providing governance and controls support for a portion of the Transmission Capital Portfolio with oversight of the Transmission Governance Manager. Overall focus for this position will be to lead a new team of Analysts to help ensure GPC Transmission has clear cost and schedule controls and timely communication in place to help manage the financial plan for a portion of the $2B+ Transmission capital plan.

Summary of Position Duties
- Serve as a key financial strategy contact for a portion of the GPC Transmission Capital Program.
- Lead a team of analysts to oversee the capital spend and closures for a portion of the GPC Transmission Capital Program.
- Collaborate and coordinate with AFT and Power Delivery to execute the program financial strategy.
- Assist Transmission Governance Manager in developing, refining, and administering the Transmission Capital Program’s governance model, encompassing the program life cycle.
- Assist in creating the vision for, and assist in leading the development of, effective portfolio management of key components of capital spending to include projections as well as change, risk and contingency management.
- Assist in the development of effective KPIs for monitoring the performance of the GPC Transmission Capital Program.
- Support effective communication of results to key stakeholders, inclusive of supporting Transmission Governance Manager’s communication to governing bodies such as TPRT, T&D Council and MRB.
- Support regulatory reporting.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field is highly preferred.
Experience
- Excellent understanding of Southern Company Accounting and Financial Systems and Reporting.
- Deep understanding of Southern Company Accounting Procedures and Guidelines.
- Excellent understanding of Transmission functions, work processes, and performance metrics.
- Demonstrated credibility within AFT & Power Delivery for sound judgment and reasoning.
- Understanding of all components of capital (i.e. additions, removals, CIAC, O&M).
- Seven (7) years of utility experience preferred.
- Experience working with GA PSC and developing Regulatory strategy.
