Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus two years of applicable experience is required. Training/experience working in a higher education environment and experience with crisis management preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Shared supervision between the Office of the Dean of Students and the Center for Academic Performance and Persistence.
- Under limited supervision, executes case management of FAST reports from various campus constituents.
- Compliance with FERPA, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to coordinate resources, evaluate information, and identify alternative solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, college administration, faculty, and staff.
- Provide care and support to students who may be managing ongoing concerns and challenges.
- Case manager may serve in limited on-call roles.
Additional Comments Regarding Position:
The Case Manager facilitates a comprehensive response to FAST reports received by the Office of the Dean of Students and the Center for Academic Performance and Persistence. Manages, investigates, and addresses student & parent concerns and provides appropriate counseling and/or referrals within the scope of academic standards, policies, and resources. Serves as a bridge between the CAPP and ODOS departments while supporting additional ODOS responsibilities.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements. Offers of employment are contingent upon a successful background check.

Essential Responsibilities:
- 40% Case Management: Responsibilities include shared oversight and tracking of case activity within the College’s incident management database; coordinates workflow of FAST reports. Effectively communicate with the reporter regarding their report submission and follow up as needed. Facilitate case creation in Maxient (software database) and conversation with campus resources in an effort to provide holistic support to any student who has been identified as at-risk. Assist with processing meal assistance and temporary/emergency housing applications.
- 30% Student Support: Meets with “student care” cases and works to connect these students with resources when needed. Serves as a point of contact for students and families in crisis and connects these individuals with emergency resources. The case managers will assist with daily office support for walk-ins/calls (student, staff, and various stakeholders). As needed, review admission essays for First Year Impact Program and STEP Program participants to determine support and/or resources needed for academic success.
- 15% On-Call Support: Case manager will also provide direct support for the Student Affairs on-call rotation by assisting with case entry, follow-up, and support referrals. Case manager may serve in limited on-call roles.
- 10% Meetings and Compliance: Attends meetings and participates in other committees as assigned. Maintains compliance with FERPA regulations pertaining to all relevant information. Utilizes various technologies to review and manage student records in an effort to take accurate/appropriate notes and make referrals.
