Overview
The Anesthesia Technician II is a member of the Anesthesia department who provides technical support to the CRNA and/or Anesthesiologist in order to facilitate the delivery of safe and efficient anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician II delivers care to patients of all ages, striving toward improving the performance of clinical activities during selected periods of the Perioperative experience under the direct supervision of the CRNA or Anesthesiologist.
Qualifications
Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Necessary Skills:
- Communication and relationship skills
- Visual and hearing acuity
- Highly organized and self-directed
- Knowledge of anesthesia machines and accessory equipment
- Knowledge of ordering and maintaining inventory with special eye toward fiscal responsibility
- Basic patient care associate knowledge appropriate to all age groups
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team
- Willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change
- Ability to adapt quickly and easily to change
Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certification as A.T.T. & ACLS.
Required Experience: Less than 1 (one) year health care experience
Preferred Experience: One (1) year Anesthesia Technician experience
