Purpose Statement:
To see patients that are clients of Northstar Behavioral Health’s Medical Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facilities, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
As a client advocate at Northstar Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to provide person-centered care in an opiate and stimulant specific program with an energetic team. Northstar provides a large continuum of care from residential to outpatient, medical services, and mental health services in our Co-Occurring and MAT friendly programs. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Work in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and VP of Operations to provide optimum care to the patients in the facilities.
- Work with CMO to manage care for clients.
- Work in collaboration with Nursing Leadership on client needs.
- Travel to all NBH locations based on client need.
- Follow the Suboxone prescribing guidelines per NBH guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements):
Suboxone Waiver required. Experience preferred but not required. Must be licensed in the state of Minnesota as an APRN in good standing.
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful):
Previous addiction medicine experience, experience with mental health medications.
