Summary:
The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applicants for lab-based physician scientists on their Hematological services.
Under the leadership of cellular therapy pioneer Renier Brentjens, MD, PhD, candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with other investigators within a cutting-edge clinical, translational, and basic research setting.
Our service maintains a robust clinical trial portfolio focused on early phase trials and immunotherapy and is supported by a dedicated team of APPs, Research Coordinators, and Clinical Care Coordinators.
We also have next-generation technologies within our cores and a 6-room GMP vector and cell therapy facility that is being expanded to 20 rooms. With IND personnel support, IND-enabling research funding, and our GMP cores we can translate promising technologies into early Phase I clinical trials.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) will be a laboratory-based investigator(s) at the Assistant to full Professor level with demonstrated excellence in research and external funding or the potential to obtain external funding. Generous laboratory support and translational packages will be provided. Applicants must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and board-certified or eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology and be able to meet medical licensure requirements in New York State.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
