The Clinical Nutrition Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all phases of patient nutritional care, including:
1.Patient therapy and education to develop and maintain high standards of quality nutritional care
2.Coordination of nutritional care with other clinical support staff for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
3.To supervise the nutritional aspects of patient care and assure that quality of nutritional care is provided for all patients and residents
4.Responsible for directing the work flow of clinical support staff
5.Complies with personnel policies as well as state and local regulations
6.Provides input and helps establish department policies and procedures.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:B.S. College Degree in Nutrition. M.S. Degree preferred.
CERTIFICATION: Registered Dietitian, Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Certification eligible in New York State.
EXPERIENCE:3 - 5 years experience in acute care hospital and long-term care facility with clinical responsibilities and management experience necessary.
