Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening/Night rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts, includes weekend and holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and/or pediatric populations within the last 3 years in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center
License: Valid nursing license from your permanent address state
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association only), TNCC required
Must-Have:
- Successfully completed a 13-week traveler assignment previously
- Basic Arrhythmia experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting
Job Description:
- Apply clinical knowledge and expertise in a fast-paced environment where patients require complex assessments and interventions.
- Broaden the scope of skills while working with patients and families of all ages and acuities.
- Be part of a remarkable team of nurses, providers, and support staff.
- Provide exceptional emergency care.
- Flexibility required for scheduling in different units based on staffing needs.
- Coordinate care with ground ambulances and Med Flight for severely ill and injured patients.
- Perform diagnostic interventions for cardiac catheterization, Level I trauma care, acute stroke care, burn center, operative procedures, special diagnostic testing, and definitive care for all patients, from pediatrics to adults.
- Work in a high-volume emergency department with comprehensive services and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Participate in an active ECPR (ECMO) program.
