This position is open to All Applicants. What you will be doing:Join our team as a Public Health Nurse 2 and make a difference! Use your expertise in public health nursing to independently provide vital services to individuals, families, and communities in the Mat-Su Valley. Get support from higher-level nurses for complex cases. You will primarily work at our Public Health Center, with occasional travel to nearby areas.

Special Note: - Valid Alaska Registered Nursing License is required, per Alaska Nurse Practice Act.
- Valid driver's license will be required.
- CPR Certification will be required.
Minimum Qualifications:Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska;
AND
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or Direct Entry Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Special Notes:
Candidates not currently licensed by the State of Alaska may apply for vacancies in this job class with proof of eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Successful performance of this work requires knowledge of principles and concepts of professional nursing, public and community health, and health care systems typically acquired through a course of study resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
