Responsibilities (which may vary by client):
- Participates in the on-boarding process of field RN and LVN staff by assisting in the training process with the Branch Manager.
- Assesses the skills of new clinicians to determine the clinician’s skill level and educates/trains, as necessary.
- Tracks and appropriately documents the successful completion of the new clinician’s clinical on-boarding process.
- Observes clinical skills and patient interaction of new clinicians and provides feedback to the clinician.
- Demonstrates process and time management for SOC, Re-cert, and Routine visits to clinicians during the orientation process.
- Ensures clinician’s compliance with applicable license/certification requirement, agency policies and procedures, healthcare standards, and applicable federal and state guidelines.
- Meets with orientees on a regular basis to assess progress and provides feedback to Branch Manager and the Education Department.
- Conducts supervisory visits on orientees as needed and discusses any additional training needs with Branch Manager and Education Department.
- Provides informal mentoring to field staff.
- Reviews orientation process and makes updates as directed.
- Serves in the capacity of RN Field Case Manager as preceptor schedule allows and performs other clinical duties as directed.
- Maintains the highest-level standards of professional conduct; maintains and enhances clinical skills; follows all federal and state guidelines as well as company policy and procedures.
- Abides by all company, federal, and state regulations to maintain sound privacy and security practices and prevent privacy or security breaches. If a breach occurs, take corrective action.
