Position Overview: Transformative Healing & Wellness, located in Pikesville, MD, is currently seeking a full or part time Therapist, who will provide trauma-informed clinical therapy in a group practice setting. This position is ideal for new grads as well as seasoned therapists who are ready for the rewards that come with working for a mission-based private group practice. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides high quality therapy to assigned caseload and complete SOAP/ progress notes.
- Conducts intake assessments to collect necessary background information, assess medical and clinical status of clients, and establish appropriate diagnosis.
- Determines the needs to be addressed and the level of therapy required, including consultation with other clinical supervisory staff.
- Develops treatment plans based on intake and diagnosis to establish clear and measurable goals and objectives for client treatment.
- Promotes the use of our alternative wellness services to clients as deemed appropriate according to established treatment plan.
- Must be able to attend monthly staff meetings.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to act with discretion, tact, confidentiality, and professionalism in all situations.
- Capable in assessment and treatment including knowledge of psychological and developmental theory.
- Proven ability in identifying variety of treatment modalities (single, group, family, and play therapy) and clinical interventions appropriate to the caseload served.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in identifying client needs and developing plans to address those needs.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- The incumbent may be exposed to potentially demanding situations such as crises and related behavior.
- Position requires extended sitting.
- Position requires working in a standard office setting with the ability to lift, sit, stand and use of office equipment including phone, computer, fax, etc.
Requirements & Certifications:
- Must have Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college approved by the board.
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Maryland with any of the following: LCSW-C, LCPC, LMSW, LMFT, LGPC.
- Must be able to see a minimum of 15 clients/weekly.
- Must be able to work some evenings.
Compensation: $40-$55 per hour
