About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Team Leader coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the efficient provision of physiotherapy practice as it relates to their clinical team area. Following the principles of team leadership, the team leader will work closely with other team leaders to ensure consistent, equitable, timely, and coordinated care is provided to the patients.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Identifying staffing needs and ensuring staffing requirements are being met daily.
- Interviewing and assisting with the selection of staff.
- Planning, facilitating, and ensuring the completion of the orientation of therapists and support staff.
- Fostering team processes that develop a continuum of patient care from admission through discharge into the community.
- Providing a liaison between the team and the respective department.
- Program planning and evaluation - ensuring practice is evidence-based and supported by current literature.
- Helping to ensure the utilization of outcome measures.
- Support to clinical.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, required.
- 3 years of Physiotherapy clinical experience, required.
- Annual registration and licensing with Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy, required.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- Experience working as part of a healthcare team.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience leading or supervising others.
- Experience leading a project team; prioritizing tasks, assigning work, and monitoring progress to achieve planned outcome(s).
- Good communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize activities.
- Flexibility in dealing with constantly changing tasks that require input and supervision.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Hours
- Permanent Full-Time Position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly.
Compensation and Benefits
$36.07 - $46.36 Hourly
