All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is hiring for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Range: $35 - $42
Responsibilities
Performs all Nuclear Medicine imaging, uptake and dilution studies; assists with PET/CT imaging to provide quality diagnostic exams while providing a high level of patient care; prepares radiopharmaceutical kits and patient doses; complies with State regulations regarding handling of radioactive materials; schedules all exams to ensure exam appropriateness and provides communication to families and physicians; coordinates daily patient flow.
- Produces and evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients.
- Adheres to image specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies.
- Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient centered care.
- Complies with State of Florida regulations regarding receipt, handling, disposal and administration of radioactive materials.
- Demonstrates knowledge of various Nuclear Medicine equipment as well as PACs and RIS computer skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of an AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- 2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine.
- ARRT and/or NMTCB registries.
- Licensure by the State of Florida, Department of Health Office of Radiation Control.
- Current Basic Life Support CPR, AHA.
