Job Overview:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologistperforms quality diagnostic and therapeutic NM procedures on all patient populations of the hospital. NM procedures are performed in the NM section of the Radiology Department. This position must be well versed in the principles of radiation safety so that radioisotopes are prepared and administered in a safe manner. The NM tech must also be proficient in using PACS and teleradiology and possess good communication skills to effectively interact with physician, patients and coworkers.
Qualifications:
Required :
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Preferred :
- PET Experience
- Two years of hospital experience as a staff technologist
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Must possess a current NJ State license
- ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
