Description
We're seeking a Nurse Administrative Supervisor (Registered Nurse / RN) responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to nursing personnel on evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. This individual:
- Assesses the overall status of the hospital and plans a course of action for the current shift and the shift immediately to follow.
- Coordinates nursing activities with the activities of other hospital departments.
- Investigates and provides anticipated expenses for various accounts.
- Provides input into goals and objectives of nursing services.
- Periodically meets with other staff members to discuss progress towards their achievement and to develop future courses of action.
- Clarifies and interprets hospital and nursing policies and procedures to nursing staff, physicians, patients, visitors, and personnel in various hospital departments.
- Reports and investigates significant events such as patient complaints or issues which have legal implications to the appropriate management.
- Meets personally with family, patients, and staff to resolve concerns or difficult situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Five years of Registered Nursing experience of which two years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
- ACLS may be required for some locations.
