Job Title: Per Diem Primary Care Clinic Nurse Practitioner
Location: Ventura County Health Care Agency - Ambulatory Care
Salary: $131,134.39 - $146,664.63 Annually
Work Schedule: Weekends only
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients of all ages
- Perform physical examinations, make diagnoses, and treat patients
- Prescribe medications, monitor progress, and adapt treatment as needed
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients
- Advise patients on lifestyle changes and self-management goals
- Coordinate with care team to ensure patient treatment goals are met
- Work with a high volume of patients and manage unexpected events
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Respond to messages and provide coverage for colleagues
- Participate in meetings and training sessions
- Administer first aid or CPR in emergencies
- Comply with medical laws and maintain up-to-date certifications
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Master's or higher degree in nursing or a related clinical field
- Six months of full-time Nurse Practitioner experience
- Current valid RN license and Nurse Practitioner Certificate in California
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) and DEA license number
