Expressive Arts Therapist Opportunity - Full Time
HRI Hospital is seeking an Expressive Arts Therapist for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. This is a 40 hour per week, Tuesday - Saturday position.
HRI Hospital is a 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. As an Expressive Arts Therapist, you will:
- Run assigned treatment groups to meet the need of various functioning levels and/or diagnostic categories.
- Utilize interviewing techniques, observations, formal and informal screening/evaluation tools to assess functional level of patients.
- Identify patients' assets and problem areas.
- Collaborate with patients in goal-setting.
- Recommend appropriate activities for goal attainment and assist patients to select appropriate groups and activities.
- Complete daily notes for each group.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Education: Master's in human services related field required. Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other expressive therapy specialty preferred. OR Bachelor's degree + MT-BC.
- License: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, or OT preferred.
- Experience: One year prior inpatient clinical experience preferred. Six months prior experience as a group leader preferred.
