Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, part of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Renal Transplant & Urology-Progressive Care Unit (STC-3)! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per week
Unit Summary
On STC 3, there is a diverse group of complex patients admitted to this 35-bed progressive care unit.
Specialties Include:
- Renal and Pancreas transplant
- Kidney transplants admit directly to this unit post operatively.
- The nurse will manage complex monitoring and drips.
- STC 3 nurses are the only inpatient nurses who can access AV fistulas and Vas Caths.
- Set new record for the hospital in 2021 for the total number of Transplants completed (173).
- ESRD and Peritoneal Dialysis
- Only team of nurses in the hospital who can perform Peritoneal Dialysis.
- Manage and access AV Fistulas.
- Urology
- Care for post-op HOLEP and TURP patients.
- Perform continuous & manual bladder irrigation.
- Complex urological procedures.
- Pulmonary Hypertension
- Manage complex IV pulmonary hypertension medications.
- Implanted Radioactive Implant care
- Provide care to patients undergoing radioactive treatment.
What STC 3 offers their nurses:

- Work very closely with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Gain experience to be eligible for national certification in; progressive care, transplant nursing, urology, peritoneal dialysis, and medical-surgical.

Qualifications
- Grad of an Accredited Program.
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- A current and valid nursing license.
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
