Medical Director - Responsibilities
The Medical Director will be the physician executive leader for the program and the supervisor of all non-field, medical personnel.
- Providing education to the interdisciplinary care team as needed.
- Participate in the process to recruit, interview, inspire, and hire new physicians and nurse practitioners.
- In partnership with the office manager, optimize patient care coverage and medical staff scheduling.
- Support the survey process and ensure the site meets regulatory requirements.
- Represent AccentCare to the community in partnership with the Executive Director and business development teams.
- If the Medical Director also has patient care responsibilities, these will be reviewed in the interview process.
- Exemplify what it means to be part of a care team and lead the community around end-of-life issues.
Qualifications:
Hospice Medical Director Qualifications:
- Maintains an active license and DEA in the state where care is being provided.
