Job Description
FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE POSITION WITH BENEFITS for an experienced QC COATINGS TECHNICIAN

Hours are 7 am – 3:30 pm.
Overtime may be needed at times.
One of our Customers is seeking a new technician to support their Quality Control efforts in their industrial coatings manufacturing facility. This fast paced and growing company is in an innovation mode to develop epoxy and polyurethane coatings for varying end applications. If you are looking for a role to learn formulation techniques, improve existing products, support production and sales, and enjoy a variety of work then please apply.
- Run QC Test on batches that are made in the plant.
- Interact with Senior RD Chemist to create QC specs for materials and for guidance to get a batch in spec.
- Document all results of QC.
- Keep QC Lab clean and organized
- Responsible for retain management
- Keep QC Lab results electronically
- Know how to get batches back in color
- Be able to use X-rite color software (we can provide training but they need to have some sense of color experience)
- Notify RD if batches are regularly coming out of spec to adjust formulations so that batches come in spec

Job Requirements
- BS in Chemistry or Related Field
- 1-3years of supporting coatings formulations in a quality lab.
- Color Technology & Color Matching
- Paint Test & Application Methods
