Full-time opening for a Nurse Practitioner needed for a growing mental health agency in our Naples, Florida location.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, conducting, and prescribing medications for patients with psychiatric-mental health problems.
- Providing emergency psychiatric services and physical and psychosocial examination of patients.
- Working independently with other members of the medical team.
- Participating in an interdisciplinary team that provides primary care to employees and patients.
- Performing patients’ histories and physicals, risk factor assessment, and attending to consultations and appointments.
- Prescribing medications following the clinic’s policy and relevant regulations.
- Consulting with physicians on cases beyond the scope of qualification.
- Documenting all relevant patient data in medical records.
- Formulating, executing, and reviewing healthcare education delivered to patients and families.
- Ensuring smooth communication with other health professionals.
- Providing consultation to the clinic’s nursing and medical staff for performance improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the English language, both in writing and speaking.
- Possess and maintain unrestricted, current, complete, and active graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration.
- Obtain Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by a Master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing.
- Strong understanding of societies and their impact on mental health.
- Compassionate, sensitive, and possess strong reasoning and thinking skills.
- Strong computer skills, including working with word processing and medical software applications.
