We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a 12-week contract basis.. Speech-Language Pathologists are responsible for diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. They work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and help them improve their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech and language abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address each client's specific needs
- Providing therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to provide holistic care for clients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout treatment
- Keep detailed records of patients' progress and treatment plans
- Providing education and counseling to clients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
- Keeping up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
- Adhering to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other relevant organizations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- State licensure or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Experience working with diverse populations and in a variety of clinical settings
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Bilingual proficiency in a second language
- Experience working with children or geriatric populations
- Knowledge of assistive communication devices and technology
