Kentucky Equine Athlete Hospital is a full-service surgical and ambulatory hospital located right outside of Louisville, KY. KEAH has 7 full-time veterinarians and 1 part-time veterinarian and 2-3 interns yearly. The clinic provides routine orthopedic, soft tissue, and emergency surgery. The hospital is equipped to offer a full range of lameness diagnostic services including advanced imaging services with MRI, Nuclear scintigraphy, and PET Scan. 1m, 3m, and exercise endoscopy are available. We have a full-service laboratory in-house including Coggins testing. Our ambulatory veterinary team provides a full range of services from routine herd health care, dentistry, reproductive work (mare, stallion, and embryo flush/transfer), lameness and sports medicine, complementary medicine (acupuncture and chiropractic), and emergency services.
KEAH is looking to add an experienced reproductive veterinarian to our team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience and proficiency in OPU as we desire to offer this service to our clientele.
- Experience and proficiency in dystocia management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage client and patient relationships.
- Dedication and willingness to mentor our intern doctors and veterinary externs.
The Position:
- Strong focus on expanding reproduction services including OPU, oviduct flushing, dystocia management, and expansion of ambulatory reproductive services.
- Willingness and proficiency for general ambulatory practice and emergency work.
- KEAH is willing to consider a reproductive-only seasonal position.
- Fully stocked ambulatory vehicle and equipment will be provided.

KAEH is based right outside of Louisville, KY. Louisville offers a lot to experience. Louisville is one of the top foodie cities in the country and only a few hours away from Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Nashville.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) degree and veterinary license and accreditation to practice in the state of Kentucky are required.
- Ability and willingness to share on-call duties.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a growing team within a well-established practice.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and ensure all matters related to shared clientele are communicated quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to withstand all physical requirements and environmental elements.
- A valid driver’s license.
