As Senior Manager, Global Nursing Initiatives you will unleash your leadership and strategic capabilities to develop and execute best-in-class marketing strategies, programs, and assets designed to advocate for, elevate, and empower the nursing profession, globally – as you translate nursing insights into transformational program solutions, assets, and communications, and measure our collective impact. The role will report to the Director of Global Nursing Initiatives, Global Health Equity.
You will collaborate with leaders and partners from across the world, as you engage cross-functional global nursing and health equity team members and leaders from across J&J Innovative Medicine and J&J MedTech, and make a lasting difference by engaging and learning from NGOs, multilateral health organizations, foundations, private sector innovators, and others.

The role requires experience in the development and execution of marketing and health equity strategies, execution, and communication and ability to drive collaboration and partnership across the enterprise and externally, among other qualifications listed below.
Global nursing strategy and program design / execution:
Drive J&J multi-faceted National Nurses month activation.
- Lead J&J Nursing innovation platforms focused on enabling and elevating nurse leadership and the visibility and impact of nurse-led innovation. including relationship development with key partners and KOLs, (e.g., the J&J Nurse Innovation Fellowship, Nurse Hack4Health, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses Nurse Academy).
- J&J engagement and activations at global nursing conferences and internal and external advisory boards.
- Strategic consultation of GHE supported Sector initiatives relevant to J&J Global Nursing, (e.g., J&J My Health Can’t Wait).
- Support of global nursing business planning and long-range financial planning across the various functions in the Global HCWF Team.
Strategy and execution of nursing media, digital initiatives, and content platforms:
- Paid Media Strategies: Partner with the J&J media agency and broader Global Nursing Initiatives Team to develop wholistic paid and owned media strategies for J&J global nursing.
- Social Media Strategies: Identify appropriate content and media channel strategies specific to targeted needs of nurses. Build content to engage nurses with Johnson & Johnson and unify the best of Johnson & Johnson nursing across J&J Sectors, the broader J&J GHE Team, and other related areas of the company – to include the development of digital platform content (e.g. J&J e-newsletters, eCRM programs, and our SEE YOU NOW podcast).
- The J&J Nursing Website: Provide strategic direction on website content including analysis, metrics and executing content revisions; coordinating closely with J&J Corporate Equity Digital Marketing for overall efficiency.
- Lead internal comms strategy for nursing in close collaboration with GHE comms teams.
Alignment and partnership across health equity leaders at J&J and external partners:
- Partner with internal measurement and evaluation and insights teams to measures and optimize program investments for maximum effectiveness.
- Partner with the broader HCWF Strategy and Programs Team to advance efforts in the areas of diverse nurse representation and leadership, e.g., scholarships and nurse leadership programs.
- Proactively scan the global nursing landscape to keep the GHE and internal organization aware of global nursing needs and trends and help inform global HCW advocacy / policy in partnership with the J&J Government Affairs & Policy Team and other internal stakeholders
- Manage ongoing relationships and day to day operations with leaders in the J&J IM and J&J MedTech Sectors and relevant enterprise functions/teams.
o Lead strategy, asset development/optimization and deployment of customer-facing nursing materials across IM and MT.
o Lead OpCo/Enterprise conference integration strategy and toolkit.
o Own relationship with Nursing Alliance ERG.
o Day-to-day operations between J&J and global nursing organizations and marketing agencies executing J&J global nursing strategies and plans.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
- A minimum of 8 years in business and/or healthcare leadership roles
- 5 years commercial marketing experience is required,
- Experience including stakeholder engagement, business leadership, executive presence, proficiency with “dot connecting”, influencing without authority, creating long term impact and enhancing the reputation of organization is required
- Experience in Health Equity is a strong asset.
- Strong marketing experience inclusive of launching and leading paid media campaigns and owned social media strategies.
- Track record designing ground-breaking programs for healthcare professionals and patients with positive outcomes.
- Deep understanding of healthcare, the needs of patients and the nurses, healthcare workers, and providers who serve them.
- Able to anticipate trends, envision the future and inspire change.
- Highly analytical, able to see through data and identify actionable insights.
- Strong strategic ability to think creatively, conceptually and critically to solve challenging problems.
- Creative! You are a never-ending source of innovative ideas to solve ambitious problems.
- Strong leadership experience managing dedicated, hard-working teams.
- Global experience leading diverse teams across multiple geographies.
- Developing and managing strong collaborative partnerships internally and externally. Experience in working with nurse and healthcare organizations, government and regulatory officials, and NGOs is preferred.
- Managing external vendors and agencies to produce quality work.
- Outstanding communication and leadership presentation skills.
- Able to navigate across a matrixed, global organization and influence by building strong working relationships.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and make difficult tradeoff decisions.
- Understanding of health equity challenges facing people in resource-limited settings around the world.
- Passion for the important role that J&J can play to help improve access to quality healthcare.
Other:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 118000 to 203550.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
