The Corporate Finance Team within RTI is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Corporate Finance team combines financial planning and analysis with business decision-making, technology, and strategy to support RTI's mission. The role will be responsible for supporting strategic planning activities, reporting and analytical activities, and corporate initiatives. In addition, this role will be supporting the expansion, development, and standardization of RTI's reporting as the Oracle ERP is implemented and RTI's efforts in optimizing the use of technology to improve processes, reporting, and analytics.
The work this role will be supporting is dynamic and can be short-term in nature depending on business needs and priorities and as a result we are seeking the right blend of financial expertise, critical thinking, desire to learn, adaptability, and digital ambition.
Responsibilities
* Supports management with financial analysis by analyzing key performance indicators, which can include the development of financial models or decision-making tools.
* Supports strategic planning activities such as budgeting, strategy week, and other short & long-term activities.
* Participates in strategic business initiatives and supports the development of Executive or Board of Governors presentations.
* Supports the expansion, development, and standardization of Corporate Finance's reporting.
* Maintains and distributes monthly standard and Power BI reports and ensures a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy in reporting. Provides key business or strategic insights from this reporting.
* Develops intuitive, insightful, and action-oriented standard and digital reports that enable data-driven decision-making.
* Identifies and implements ways to improve data accuracy and timeliness using automation and new tools.
* Leads and/or participates in special projects to improve or enhance financial management and operating efficiencies.
* Serves as Corporate Finance interface between finance and non-finance stakeholders, when needed.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities - Financial:
* Ability to generate business or strategic insights.
* Ability to provide financial analyses and package into consumable format for senior level management and non-financial staff (e.g., storytelling / strong use of visuals and dashboards to articulate messages).
* Possesses strong knowledge of financial systems with the ability to develop ad-hoc reports when required.
* Skilled in financial modeling and analysis with the ability to manage ambiguity into quality deliverables.
* Prior FP&A experience is nice to have.
* Knowledge of government contracting a plus.
Skills & Abilities - Technical:
* Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
* Digitally proficient and eager to be at the forefront of digital financial capabilities.
* Experience developing digital reports or dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
* Working knowledge of data analysis/visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
* Experience with Oracle is nice to have.
Skills & Abilities - General:
* Ability to partner with team members across RTI Finance to identify and implement best practices to streamline work processes and support the digital transformation strategy.
* Ability to be resourceful and to take initiative in analyzing situations and applying principles and procedures to assist in the development of solutions to difficult problems.
* Skilled in business navigation, understanding inter-dependencies & knowing when to engage others, able to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks to best meet colleagues' needs.
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, technical staff, and clients.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, while also understanding the big picture.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or relevant field and 6+ years or Master's degree and 1+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
