The role of Market Organization (MO) Finance Manager is responsible for working directly with the MO Director of Finance in managing financial reporting and steering for the MO. This position works in close cooperation with the General Manager (GM), the MO Executive Management Team (EMT), and the regional headquarter finance team in Plano, TX; requiring strong communication skills and the ability to translate conceptual thinking into persuasive, action-oriented recommendations.
What does the role involve?
- Translate strategic annual planning process for the MO into a financial plan
- Monitor actual performance against forecast
- Analyze root causes for deviations; develop recommendations for adjustments, where necessary
- Perform scenario planning to identify levers to improve performance, risk assessment, and identification/tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage inputs and outputs for timely financial planning in accordance with the global and regional rolling forecast process and monthly outlooks
- Perform productive growth modeling during the annual game planning process
- Perform target setting for direct and indirect sales force, seasonality planning and forecasting
- Provide OPEX steering, planning for sales events, pricing analysis, approval of transactions and price agreements, balance sheet reviews as well as ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
- Perform ongoing training and coaching of MO Finance Analyst team
- Conduct one-on-one review meetings with team members to provide feedback and guidance
- Conduct SMD and PMP discussions
- Manage projects related to pricing, OPEX efficiency, process optimization and market research at local (MO), hub, or global level
- Additional duties, as assigned
What you need is:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum five (5) years' experience, OR Master's degree with minimum three (3) years' experience, required
- MBA with focus on finance strongly preferred
- CPA or equivalent, preferred
- Excellent communications (written, verbal, interpersonal) skills, required
- Excellent story lining skills and strategic thinking capability, required
- Excellent computer software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint system), required
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, required
- Advanced level knowledge in SAP/BI or comparable applications, required
- Excellent understanding of accounting and auditing principles, budgets, forecasts, and cost control
- Hands-on mentality and ability to solve a broad range of challenges as they appear
- Ability to explain financial concepts and details to different audiences in a cross-cultural, international environment
- International mobility required
